Caregiver

As specified in each person's care plan, the Caregiver performs Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). Although most care is given in the home, an individual's care plan may include specify the need for escort services, errands, and transportation.

Responsibilities

• The position's duty is to carry out the tasks delegated by the RN Field Supervisor in compliance with each person's authorized service plan.
• Any changes in a person's functional or medical state must be reported by the personal care attendant to the relevant agency staff.
• Services must be rendered according to each person's designated timetable.
• The agency must be notified of any deviations from the assignment, including but not limited to the following.
• departures from the prescribed timetable
• A person who requests unassigned duties or declines particular assignments o A person who anticipates being absent for one or more shifts.
• Placement in Facilities, Rehab, or Hospitalizations
• Events, mishaps, or other occurrences that don't follow the patient's treatment plan
• Services such as companionship or sitters, as specified in the care plan
• The PCA shall inform the RN Field Supervisor for further guidance if further services are needed.
• It is not permitted for the PCA to directly bargain with the person about new assignments, service locations, or schedule adjustments.
• Any changes must be reported to the office; else, you risk being fired.
• Attend Supervisory Visits that the RN Field Supervisor is expected to do.
• Report time and attendance by branch office accurately.
• Timesheets, or EVV, must be used to record time and attendance in accordance with payer or Quality Home Staffing requirements.
• Documentation and reporting requirements as specified by the RN Field Supervisor
• Report any suspicions about abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the office right away.
• Unless authorized for EVV services, cell phones are not permitted to be used during assignment, as directed.
• In order to transfer the scheduled downtime to another PCA, please notify the office as soon as possible of any anticipated absences.
• Act as a champion for people who require additional community services or a high degree of care.
• Put on a professional and acceptable outfit.
• When working on a project, always wear a nametag.
• Personal protective equipment must be worn correctly while assignment in order to prevent infection.
• Respect the guidelines and specifications for the particular programs you are given.
• Additional responsibilities as delegated

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA)
• Knowledge of caring for dementia or Alzheimer's
• A current certification for Basic Life Support Training (CPR)
• PPD chest X-ray with TB screening
• A valid driver's license and a dependable mode of transportation are requirements.
• Must be gentle, kind, and empathic
• Ability to make wise decisions and maintain composure under a variety of circumstances
• It's crucial to be dependable, prompt, and reliable.
• Fundamental computing knowledge and technical aptitude
• Evidence proving eligibility to work in the United States.
• Capacity to produce references and clear a background investigation
