Deli Clerk

Deli Clerk Job Summary: We are seeking a Deli Clerk to oversee the meat counter at our deli. In this position, you will greet each customer as they come to the counter and answer any questions they have about our products. You may make recommendations or provide advice on how to cook the meat. You are also responsible for pre-slicing meat and stocking the display cases, as well as cleaning the deli counter and equipment with disinfectant at the end of the day. Our ideal applicant has strong customer service skills and some food preparation experience.

Deli Clerk Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers by making suggestions and slicing meat
• Package each customer's purchase
• Pre-slice meat to stock the display case
• Clean and disinfect all surfaces and equipment

Deli Clerk Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Food preparation experience
• Customer service skills
• Food handler's card
• Familiarity with meat and other deli products
